You, me, He, others. Here or beyond? Real or mystical? Forever or for just a moment? From... until. Inside the canvas or on the surface of the canvas? Question or answer? Or maybe both? Was it a dream? Mine or yours? Don't you ever feel like you have already been there? In this specific moment? |
Abstraction
To create an abstraction, one must know the Laws: Laws of creating an art piece, the Laws of nature, the laws of the Human Kind. One takes something from our world - a matter, an idea, a concept and tools. And one makes a sacrifice. The sacrifice of time, the sacrifice of matter, the sacrifice of exposing ones feelings. And through this act, one gets into the process of creation. Then one must realize, when is the moment to stop and leave the piece to "dry", to transform from an ephemeral to an eternal state, where its journey through our world begins. At this moment one has lost something from ones inside and developed it into matter. |
Objects and Artefacts
When I was creating The Other world, I knew, that people are going to need something material for their eternity. I brought them Mountain of Coffee, to keep them in shape. I brought them blooming flowers to remind them, that everything has its end in the world. I brought them light and screens, windows and paintings to have forever something to see* |
Coffee Art
Coffee is one of my favourit natural, organic pigments, that I use for painting. I got great palet of colors and tones. I'm keen on making different coffee, this way exploring variations of shades. Usely I use it just as a primer of the canvas, but sometimes it happens to be main material for art work. |
Experiments
It is abstract way of looking at the painting. I use ready-made, recyclable matterials, combining them together, putting them into right order to get new meanings and forms. Sometimes it is pieces of canvas left-overs sewed together, or painting palets, that has came up with spectacular paint compositions and became artificial pieces of art. |
Squares - 60x60 cm
Occasion, when format is more important then title or content. All painting in this category is same format - 60x60 cm. There is no right order to put them together, it is like random puzzle, where every time, you are putting it together, you can get different story, visual impression, and whole meaning. There is no rules for expression, or used matterials. Sometimes is totaly abstract and some times it has narrative behinde it. |
